Gene Edward Warfield

Gene Edward Warfield, age 72, of Sanders, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020 at his home.

Born June 5, 1947 in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Joe and Carrie Traylor Warfield and was preceded in death by his brothers, Buddy, Billy, Ralph, Elwood, Walter and Bobby Warfield.  Gene was a member of the Sanders Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved Camping, fishing and riding horses but his biggest passion was riding motorcycles.

Gene will be missed by his lifelong companion, Barbara Couch; his stepsons, John Dolby, Jr., Chris Dolby and James "Cricket" Dolby; his God-Daughter, Shelley Savage; his best friend, Todd Adams as well as many beloved friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 4 - 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday with Bro. Dan Flowers and Bro. David Smith presiding. Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
