Gene Clifton

Gene Clifton, age 87, of Owenton, passed away at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY on Friday, January 8, 2021.

Born July 16, 1993 in Henry County, KY, he was the son of the late Sollie and Edith Popp Clifton. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Sollie Jr., John, David, Martha Clifton, Mary Ida Davis, Elvira Mae Miller.  Gene owned and operated a service station & garage in New Liberty for many years.  He was also a member of New Liberty Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Bramblett Clifton who he married on April 18, 1959.  He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 1PM at the Owenton Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Gray presiding.  Memorial contributions may be made to New Liberty Christian Church
