Gary Lee Wilhoite

Gary Lee Wilhoite, age 67, of Florence passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at his home. Born July 2, 1949, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Frank Wilhoite and Frances Woolums Rose. He was the widower of Kathy Moore Wilhoite and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Patsy, Mark, Ricky and Carl Wilhoite. Gary was a member of the Baptist faith and a retired machinist for Sachs Automotive. Surviving are his daughter, Jackie (Mike) Lubbers; his special friend, Sylvia Curry; his grandchildren, Cheyenne (Derrick) Bowsman, Nathan (Spenser) Williamson, Josh (Sonya) Lubbers and Cacey (Mike) Lubbers; his great grandchildren, Ronyn, Jace, Nyla, William and Charleighman. Also surviving are his siblings, Peggy Brewer, Diana Estes, Gene, Bradford and Terry Wilhoite. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday with burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
