Gary Dale Prather

Gary Dale Prather, age 58, of Owenton, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015. Born January 24, 1956, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Greenio. Gary was a retired truck driver for the Boone County Public Works and was a former member of the Burlington Fire Department. Surviving are his mother, Anna Hudnall Prather; his son, Gary William (Rachael) Prather of Burlington;his granddaughter, Tiffany Lynn Prather; his former wife, Jenny Prather and his siblings, Mike Prather, Roger McCane, Ruth Ann Gray, Norma Greenwell and Beverly Blackburn. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, April 9th from 11am until 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Federation of the Blind.
