Gary Lee Lynn

Gary Lee Lynn, age 70, of Glencoe, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Care Center on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Born January 30, 1953, in Owenton, he was the son of the late Wilmer T. "Jack" and Frances Lawless Lynn.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Wilmer Lynn, Jr. and Frankie Lynn. Gary served his country in the United States Army and retired from Duke Energy as a safety officer. Gary was a hardworking man who loved being outdoors, on his farm, and enjoying a cold Natty Lite. He spent much of his time camping, boating, and fishing on Cumberland and also enjoyed collecting and shooting guns. More than anything he loved an opportunity to tell you about his family and being a Papaw.

Gary will be missed by his wife of over 28 years, Debbie Hicks Lynn; his children, Chris (Cindy) Lynn, Chad (Mandy) Lynn, and Angel Hicks; his grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Blake (Clhoe), TJ, Courtney, Kylee, Brent, Breana, and Kenny; three great-grandchildren, Eastyn, Laklie, and Camilla; his brothers, Earl Chanley and Jackie Lynn; and his loyal companion Jesse James the dog.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Craig Howard officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or St. Elizabeth Hospice
