Franky Lane Fitzgerald

Franky Lane Fitzgerald, age 65, of Owenton, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Born November 1, 1953, in Owenton, he was the son of the late Billy Starmount Fitzgerald and Gladys Criswell Fitzgerald. Franky had many business ventures including Frankco Contractors where he did demolition and disaster relief with FEMA; he owned and operated Fairview Restaurant & Grocery and Frankco's.  He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Franky enjoyed singing, traveling, hot rods, camping and just being outdoors.

Franky is survived by his wife, Teresa Gaines Fitzgerald; his children, Lynn Fitzgerald, Crystal Fitzgerald, Fabian Fitzgerald, Franki Fitzgerald, Johnna Ellis, Rodney Harney and Codi Harney; his grandchildren, Jaclyn Ann Fitzgerald, Mason James Fitzgerald, Colton Ellis, Elijah Dalton, Angel, Keegan and Paige Morgan Harney, Isabella and Brantly Muncie, Rylee and Morgan Fulton and one grandchild on the way.  He is also survived by his siblings, Larry (Kathy) Fitzgerald, Ricky Fitzgerald, Melody (Tommy) Lyons, Charity (Larry) Lowrance, Derek (Kim) Fitzgerald, Billy Scott (Andrea) Fitzgerald and a host of extended family and dear friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, from 4 - 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at the Daybreak Baptist Church, 4323 North Main Street, Eminence, KY 40019. Visitation will also be held at the church on Thursday after 10 am. Burial will be in the Squiresville Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Daybreak Baptist Church.
