Frankie Lynn, age 63, of Owenton, passed away Saturday November 2, 2013 at his home. Born December 11, 1949 in Stewartsville, KY he was the son of late Wilmer "Jack" and Frances Lawless Lynn and was preceded in death by his brother, Wilmer Lynn, Jr. Frankie was retired from AT&T after 32 years of service and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was the owner of the former Frankie's Restaurant, and belonged to the Eagle Creek Rod and Gun Club and the Sportsman Club. He served his country for eight years in the Army Reserves and was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid UK fan, loved playing Santa and was a friend to all. He is survived by his children, Charity Lynn of Augusta, GA, Michael Lynn of Lawrenceburg, KY and Peggy Smith of Monticello, GA; his first wife and lifelong friend, Judy Picklesimer; his brothers, Earl (Gladys) Chanley, Jackie (Patsy) Lynn and Gary (Debbie) Lynn. Also surviving are his dog Spud, a granddaughter by choice, Isabella Osborne and a host of friends. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Thursday, November 7th from 4-8 pm and funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday with Bro. Craig Howard. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
