Frank Wilhoite, 84, of Frankfort and formerly of Owenton, died January 26, 2010 at his residence. Frank was the son of the late Wade and Julie Murphy Wilhoite and was preceded in death by 11 siblings and his children, Patsy, Ricky, Mark and Carl Ray Wilhoite. Born April 7, 1925, in Owen County, he was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church; a carpenter and a farmer. He also worked for RECC clearing power lines. Survivors include his sons, Gary Wilhoite of Florence, Brad (Carol) Wilhoite of Owenton, Gene (Rosemary) Wilhoite of Frankfort and Terry (Debbie) Wilhoite of Warsaw; his daughters, Peggy (Bailey) Brewer of Frankfort and Diana (Larry) Estes of Owenton. Seventeen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, January 27th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 2pm, with Bro. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
