Frank Marshall Mcdonald

Frank Marshall McDonald, age 85, of Monterey, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Signature Healthcare in Carrollton.Born May 11, 1932, in Monterey, KY, he was the son of the late John M. and Bertha Olds McDonald.  He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Jane Webb McDonald and his brother Ralph McDonald.  Frank served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Gratz Baptist Church.  He was a lifelong farmer, raising cattle, hay and corn and was formerly the Owen County Property Valuation Administrator.  He also served his community on the Owen County Board of Education and the Board of Directors for Peoples Bank.Frank is survived by his son Brett (Angie) McDonald and his grandchildren, Chad and Lauren McDonald.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 5-8pm.  Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday with burial in the Monterey Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Monterey Cemetery.
