Frank House, age 78, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.
Born February 16, 1942, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Albert Thomas and Mary Frances Keith House. He was the widower of Wanda Sue "Susie" Green House and also preceded in death by his brother, Walter House. Frank served his country in the United States Army and retired from Bendix after 32 years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren while they participated in sports and school activities. He spent the majority of his retirement in the stands or on the sidelines as their number one fan. In addition to his grandchildren, he loved fishing, hunting, and gardening.
Frank is survived by his children, Debra (Ron) Gambrell, Christy (Damon) Ricketts, and Tom (Shawn Wilson) House; his grandchildren, Ronnie, Nathan, and Shelby Gambrell, Devin and Wesley Ricketts, Hailey and Brad House; his great-grandchildren, Tucker, Cole Thomas, Warren, Destiny, and Cameron; his siblings, Joyce Mattingly, Louise Traylor, Alice Hammond, Vernon House, Mary Martin, and Helen Alexander. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, from 11 am until 2 pm. This will be a pass-thru visitation with limited capacity, masks, and social distancing required. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with limited seating available. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Children's Fund.
