Frances Lafferty Elmore

Frances Lafferty Elmore, age 85, passed away Saturday, March 17th at the St. Elizabeth Hospital's Hospice Center in Edgewood. Born July 1, 1926, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Glenna Farrar and Charles Robert Lafferty, Sr. She was the widow of the late Robert Thompson Elmore, Jr. Surviving are her brother, Charles Robert Lafferty, Jr. of Sparta; two nieces, Tara Vandt and Valerie Chelf and one nephew, Charles Michael Lafferty. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10am at the Kentucky Veteran's Cemetery North, in Williamstown. Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier will preside.
