Frances Caldwell

Naomi “Frances” Caldwell, 83, died Friday Aug. 26, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. Born January 2, 1928 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Nellie Perkins Shirley. Frances was the widow of Austin Robert Caldwell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Owenton First Baptist Church. Frances enjoyed visiting with businesses in town, daily flowers and always had a smile and wave for friends. She is survived by her two sons, Robert “Wayne” Caldwell of Owenton and Tom Caldwell of Florence; a step-daughter Naomi Smith of Florence; her siblings, Roy Jr., J.C. and Vivian; three grandchildren, Travis, Michael and Christie and 8 great grandchildren. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, August 29th, from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be at 11am Tuesday at the Owenton First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Jonesville Cemetery with Bro. Brad Banks presiding.
