Floyd Mikel Smith

Floyd Mikel Smith, 17, of Owenton died Tuesday morning. He was the son of Floyd Smith(Crystal Goodrich) of Owenton and Kim Williams Smith of Owenton. He was going to be a Senior at the Owen County High school this year. He was employed at McDonalds. He is also survived by his brothers; Jacob and Phyllip Smith and his sisters; Melinda and Autumn Smith. Also surviving are his grandparents: Danny and Linda Williams of Owenton and Donald Arnold of Lockport; his Great Grandmother, Lenora Kelly Olds of Owenton. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Floyd and Phyllis Chadwell Smith, his maternal great-grandfather; James Olds; his cousins, William and Braydon Tackett. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2pm at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Main Street. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm. Burial will be in the Mt. Minish Cemetery. There will be a meal at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church following the burial.
