Floyd Kincaid, 86, of the Lusby’s Mill community in Owen County, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the Thomson Hood Veteran’s Center in Wilmore, KY. Born March 1, 1923 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of the Hubert and Ethel Mae Tolbert Kincaid and was preceded in death by his sisters, Wilma (Harold) Hughes and Kathleen (Raymond) Duncan and his brother Woodrow Kincaid. Floyd was retired from the Owen County Road Department and the former owner of the Courthouse Restaurant. He was also a member of the Lusby’s Mill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife whom he married on July 10, 1945, Mattie Mae Duncan Kincaid; two sons, Ronnie Kincaid and Terry (Joan) Kincaid; one daughter Judy K. Vannarsdall all of Owenton; seven Grandchildren, Tammy (Frog) Harris, Melissa Beal, Melanie (Troy) Oliver, Rodney (Amie) Kincaid, Kristi (Robby) Adkins, Michelle Kincaid and Michael Kincaid; fourteen great - grandchildren Matt, Megan, Jenna and Jake Harris, Katie Beall, Brad, Boo and Abby Oliver, Connor, Kayla and Mattie Kincaid, Blake Robertson, Autum Adkins and Mikaela House. Pallbearers will be Matt Harris, Blake Robertson, Michael Kincaid, Bradley Oliver, Frog Harris and Troy Oliver. Honorary bearers will be Rodney Kincaid and Floyd’s nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the Main streetlocation of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home Wednesday at 10:00am. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Lusby's Mill Baptist Church.
