Florence Shelton Green

Anna Florence Shelton Green, age 87, of Georgetown, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020, at her daughter's residence.

Born June 7, 1933, in Owen County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Ora Wainscott Shelton. She was the widow of Noah Green and preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Green, and her siblings, Eula Wise, Arvel, Leslie, Harold, and Carlos Shelton and Dora Green. Florence was a member of Trinity Assembly and was a former employee of Union Underwear in Frankfort. She also babysat for many children throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Patricia (David) Gaines, Ricky Green, and Connie (Lee) Greer; her daughter-in-law, Rita Green; her sister, Donna Boehm; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at Trinty Assembly on Saturday, August 22, 2020, from 11 am until 1 pm. This will be a pass-through visitation with social distancing and masks required.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Carl Keller presiding. Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery.
