Floren T. Slaughter

Floren T. Slaughter, 85, passed away Friday February 1, 2013 at his home. He was a Navy veteran of WW II and a member of the Owenton United Methodist Church. He retired from Kraft Foods as a lab technician after 37 years. Surviving are his wife Mollie Jane Smith Slaughter, two children, Lois Gaines and Ed Slaughter, two granddaughters, Cindy Gaines and Stephanie (Dale) Hudson, five great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Vera Slaughter and three sisters, Alma Slaughter, Jane Duvall and Girldine Osborne. A graveside service will be held at the Owenton Cemetery on Monday February 4 at 12:00 Noon. Family requests no flowers and memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or your favorite charity.
