Evelyn Sutton Rea

Evelyn Sutton Rea, a Lexington resident and formerly of Florence, passed away Friday March 20 2009 at the age of 85. She was born in Sparta, KY the daughter of the late William Henry and Cora Estelle Sisson Rea. She was the wife of the late Edward Foree Rea and was also preceded by a daughter, Lonna Karen Rea, a brother, Robert Sutton and sisters, Gladys Stewart and Anna Katherine VonLuehrte. She worked as a cashier for Fifth-Third Bank, a traffic manager for Pogues, a buyer rep. for Shillitos and in the office of the Gallatin Co. Judge Executive. She is survived by her son Bill Rea and wife Paige of Lexington, sisters, Grace Louise House of Florence and Alene Herndon of Warsaw, grandson, Grant Cameron and wife Whitty Rea and great grandchildren William Garrett and Isabel Chanslor Rea. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 and funeral at 1PM on Tuesday at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw, KY. Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the Markey Cancer Center or American Heart Association.
