Evelyn L. Bourne

Evelyn L. Wainscott Bourne, age 83, of Owenton passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Louisville. Born February 12, 1929, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Heath Wainscott. She was the widow of the late Harold W. Bourne who passed away in 1991, after forty four and a half years of marriage. Also preceding her in death were her grandson, Stephen Kyle Aldridge and her two brothers, Russel M. "Tommy" and Laurel H. "Sam" Wainscott. Evelyn was a member fo the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and retired from the Owen County Health Center as a clerk typist III after 32 years of service. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly L. (Wayne) Aldridge of Pleasureville; one grandson, Michael (Mary Beth) Aldridge; two great grandchildren, Aalaiah Kendall and Zackery Kyle Aldridge; her sister, Bernice Bourne; five nieces and three nephews. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Monday, January 28, from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday with Bro. Dale Adkins and Bro. Jesse Bourne presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
