Evalina Wainscott York
February 24, 1946 — May 15, 2018
Born February 24, 1946, in Warsaw, KY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mae Dell Ogden Wainscott and was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas York and her brother, Charles Wainscott. Evalina worked for Parkview IGA and Wal-Mart and was a member of the Sanders Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Candy Gibson and Richard (Tonya Gayheart) Hardesty; her grandchildren, Lauren (Chad) Hensley, Kyle Smither, Mallory Hardesty, Addison Gibson and Lucy Hardesty. Her great grandchildren also survive, Zoey Bond, Lincoln Smither, Olivia and Amelia Hensley.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 11am until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Hardin Lowe presiding. Burial will be in the Wheatley Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the Trust of Life or the Kidney Foundation.
