Ethel Mae "Bom Bom" Kincaid, 103, passed away on January 25, 2024 at her home as Owen County's oldest current resident. She was born on Harris Ridge Road in Owen County on January 4, 1921 the daughter of the late James and Mary Susan Harris. She was also preceded by her husband Ewell Kincaid, a great grandson Charles Landon Gill, a son-in-law, Bobby Traylor and recently a grandson-in-law David Turner. She was a member of Dallasburg Baptist Church. She was the office manager of the Allis-Chalmers Farm Machinery Dealer that she and her husband owned for many years. She lived during the great depression and had an incredible work ethic. She was a saver and believed in not wasting anything. BomBom had a contagious way about her that made people love her especially her grandkids. She enjoyed being outdoors tending to her garden and flowers. She was very blessed to be able to live in her own home and drive until her passing. She also loved a McDonald's frappe. Surviving are her two daughters; Shirley Traylor and Gladys Wright, six grandchildren; Darryl (Susan) Traylor, Brian (Margaret) Forsee, Dana (Chuck) Gill, Rodney (Gail) Forsee, Angie Forsee (Ashly) and Denise Turner, twelve great grandchildren; Brooke (Robert) Kapfhammer, Blake (Lindsey) Traylor, Kendall (Danny) O'Toole, Lindsay (Ty) Smith, Alli (Ross) Ford, Morgan (Adam) Weintraut, Preston (Maggie) Forsee, Leah (Logan) Fields, Blaine (Briana) Forsee, Carrick (Chloe) Ford, Evan (Marquie) Ford and Ben Turner, ten great-great grandchildren; Reese, Beckham, Blakely, Layla, Charlie, Delilah, Peyton, Luke, Walker and West. The funeral is on Wednesday January 31 at 2:00 PM with visitation starting at 11:00 AM at New Funeral Home on Seminary Street. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery.
