Estella Louise Johnson

Estella Louise Johnson, 66, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the home of her granddaughter in Lexington. Born July 20, 1942, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret Johnson Brent. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of the Park Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Ray Proffitt of Lexington; two sons, Jeffrey D. Johnson of Columbus, IN and Rex T. Johnson of Fairfield, OH; her daughter Tracey Manica of Warsaw; her siblings, Carnell Johnson of Louisville, Michelle A. Franklin of Detroit, Wanda D. Johnson of Detroit, MI and Louis J. Johnson of Detroit, MI. Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. A memorial service will be held 2pm Monday at the Seminary Street location. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
