Emma Lou Mccomas

She was born in Sparta on February 11, 1932 the daughter of the late Clarence and Frances Schooler Brock. She was also preceded by her husband Laurel C. McComas and her sister Marilyn Tudor. She was a sales clerk for many years starting at Minch Hardware then at the Glencoe Store and Meadowview. During those days she helped on the farm with the tobacco and dairy. She loved growing flowers and watching her grandkids and most recently her great grandson.
Surviving are her daughter Valerie (Paul) Smoot, her grandchildren, Chastity Smoot and Christopher (Brittney) Smoot, her great grandson John Paul Smoot, her siblings, Carter Brock, JoAnn Hazelwood, Harry Brock, Carolyn Stewart and Clarence Brock Jr. A special cousin Grace Karen Hearne also survives.
Visitation is Tuesday October 23 from 5 to 8 at McDonald & New - Main St. with the funeral on Wednesday at 11AM at Main St. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
