Eloise Smoot Wright

Ms. Eloise Smoot Wright, age 90, of Frankfort, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Bradford Square Nursing Home. Born October 6, 1922, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the lateGus and Gertrude McGinnis Smoot and was preceded in death by her siblings, Carl, Vernon, Forest, Elton, Roy, Gusta, Ruben and Willard Smoot and Opal Hawkins as well as her son in law Horace Ray Luther. Ms. Wright was a member of the North Frankfort Baptist Church. She worked for H.K. Porter, in Frankfort, for over 20 years and retired from Webster Electric. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Luther of Owenton; two sons, Ronald (JoAnn) Wright and R.C. (Darlene) Wright of Frankfort; two sisters, Lucy Hall of Owenton and Eula Smoot Strawn of Verona; three grandchildren, Martin and Kevin Luther and Gene Todd Wright as well as a great grandson, Alex Luther. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Sunday, February 24th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be Monday, February 25th at 2pm with Bro. David Smith presiding. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monterey Cemetery.
