Ella B. O'Banion Comer

Mrs. Ella B. O'Banion Collins Comer, age 87, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Owenton Manor. Born September 6, 1927, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Annie C. Parker O'Banion and was preceded in death by her son, Roger Dale Collins; her husbands, Delbert Collins and Dr. John Comer; her sister, Joice O'Banion; her brothers, Clifford and Wilburn O'Banion and her four nephews. Mrs. Comer was a former clerk for Weight Watchers and a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Collins Davis Crabtree; three grandchildren, Ricky Davis, Rebecka Caldwell and LaKeshia Caldwell; five grandchildren, Brandy and Chasity Davis, Bailey and Brooklyn Caldwell and Kaelyn Stewart; sisters, Nora McMurray and Juanita Hammond and her brother Ray O'Banion, Jr. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, November 22nd from 11am until 2pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier and Bro. Dale Adkins presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
