Elizabeth Ann Moore

Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Moore, age 67, of Owenton, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born February 3, 1950, in Florence, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Herschel "Scrubby" Combs and Christine Beckham Combs.  She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Dustin, Joshua, Jonathan and Zachary Moore and her siblings, Clarence Gaines, Norman "Dob" Combs, Brenda "Midge" Smith and Ruby "Honeycomb" Carmack.  Liz loved the Lord and was a devout member of Remnant Baptist Church.  She was a former bus driver for the Owen County School System but her greatest love was her family and her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband Carl Thomas "Tom" Moore; her daughter Chris (Bro. Darren) Wolford; her sons, Bubby (Sam) Moore and Joey (Jamie) Moore; Her niece and nephews that she raised, Patricia (Shawn) Hutton, Robert (Jennifer) Smith and Terry (Angie) Smith; ten grandchildren, Marriah, Tori, Ashleigh, Blake, Haleigh, Kaleigh, Micah, Jenna, Eddie and  Joseph; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Carmen, Natalie, Kase, Aaron and Blake and her brother, Herschel (Ann) Combs.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Remnant Baptist Church on Monday, April 17, 2017, from 4-8pm.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the church.  Burial will be in the Remnant Baptist Church Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Remnant Baptist Church.
