Elizabeth “Libby” House, a resident of Florence and formerly of Warsaw, passed away Thursday July 30 at Florence Park Care Center at the age of 77. She was born in Warsaw the daughter of the late Charles and Ida Palmer Marksberry. She was also preceded in death by her husband Vernon and seven brothers and sisters. Libby was a retired bookkeeper for the Kratz-Wilde Machine Company where she worked for 25 years. She is survived by a son Tem House, two daughters, Tere Gettelfinger and Bridget Greene all of Florence, a brother, Estle Marksberry of Florence, two sisters, Thelma Swango of Florence and Norma Meirose of Cincinnati. Eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 2, from 5pm until 8pm and funeral services will be at 10am Monday Aug 3. at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Maines officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gallatin County Life Squad. Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery.
