Elizabeth "Libby" Doane

Elizabeth A. “Libby” Doane, a Frankfort resident, passed away Saturday Sept. 19, 2009 at the Golden Living Center at the age of 78. She was born in Carter Co., KY the daughter of the late Herdie Hall and Ethel Utley Roop. A sister, Kathleen Wilhoite, also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of Camp Pleasant Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Ellis and a son, Chuck Doane both of Frankfort, three grandchildren, Tammy and Ami Ellis and Zachary Doane, four great grandchildren, Jessica Botkins, Michael Tracy, Charlie and Rhealee Ellis and one great-great granddaughter Hannah Green. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held at the Main Street location on Monday, September 21, 2009 from 4pm until 7 pm. Funeral services will follow at 7pm with Bro. Don Karsner officiating. The graveside service will be on Tuesday at 10 AM at the Owenton Cemetery.
