Eileen Mikel

Mrs. Eileen Mikel, age 87, of Erlanger and formerly of Glencoe, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017.  Born August 9, 1929 in Chicago, IL she was the daughter of the late John Cribben and Florence Jiskra Allen and the widower of William "Bill" Mikel.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert and John Cribben.  Eileen was retired from Square D where she was a shipping clerk.  She was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.  In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball and bowling.  She is survived by her daughter, Alvena (Ron) Jividen; her sons, David (Karen) Mikel and William "Mike" Mikel; four grandchildren, Joe Jividen and Phillip, Emily, and Matthew Mikel; eight great-grandchildren and her sister, Dorothy Ann Larkin.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 11am until 2pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Tom Hall presiding.  Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
