Edward Gene Hearn

Edward Gene Hearn, age 63, of Owen County, passed away at St. Elizabeth Edgewood, Saturday, July 24, 2021.

He was born on April 4, 1958 in Owenton, KY. to the late James Samuel and Lucille Lee Hearn. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Sullivan Hearn, his siblings James Hearn, Jesse Hearn. Edward was pretty skilled when it came to working, he was a farmer, worked in construction as well for Sterling Materials as a miner or loader. He loved his family, never met a stranger. Edward loved helping his kids and grandchildren. You could have found in in his free time restoring or painting automobiles, pulling trucks to building derby cars.

He will be deeply missed by his children; Edward Christopher Hearn, Crystal Lynn (Nathan) Hendren, Billy Joe "BJ" Hearn, Michael Wayne Hearn; his grandchildren; Christian, Brittany, Lane, Preston, Chevy, Lily-Ann, Brantlee Ray; his 2 great grandchildren; and his siblings Bennie (Bessie) Hearn, Charles (Charlotte) Hearn and a host of extended friends and family.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends for visitation at our Seminary Street Location on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 11AM to 1PM with a funeral to follow at 1PM with Bro. Milkweed presiding. Masks are required for those who have not yet been vaccinated.
