Edith Hudnall Prather

Edith Mae Hudnall Prather, age 88, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Owenton Health & Rehab.

Born August 14, 1935, in Owenton, she was the daughter of the late Shadie and Ruby Noel Hudnall.  She was the widow of Justice Prather and also preceded in death by her children, Shirley Chadwell, Brenda Parker, Tommy Prather, and Daryl Prather; her siblings, James Hudnall, Delbert Hudnall, Anna Laura Prather, Joyce Hamner and Lloyd Wayne Hudnall; and her granddaughter Amy Ellis. Edith was a homemaker and farmed with her husband, she also worked for several years at Bendix. She loved being outdoors, fishing, watching birds, and growing flowers.  She especially loved the time she spent with her sisters and the travel adventures they shared.

Edith will be missed by her siblings, Barbara (Eddie)Gorski, Shadie (Robin) Hudnall, Jr., Danny Hudnall, and Kathy (Greg) Adams; her grandchildren, Travis Wright, JJ Chadwell, Kenny Parker, John Parker, Bobby Parker, Steven Davis, Brian Prather, Adam Prather, Cory Warren, Kayla Prather, and Austin Prather.  She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.

New Funeral Homes are in are charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, May 3, 2024, from 11 am until 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with burial in the Owenton Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home for expenses,
