Ed Brown

Oct 1, 1971 — Nov 5, 2026

Owenton, KY

Harry Edward “Ed” Brown, age 55, passed away on November 5, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born October 1, 1971, in Zelienople, PA, Ed was the son of the late Robert and Kathleen Reynolds Brown. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Martha Brown, and his father-in-law, James Patrick Dunn

Ed served as Project Director for Matrix NAC, where his leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence were evident in everything he did. More than simply leading projects, Ed invested in people. He was a mentor, a teacher, and a leader who recognized potential in others, often before they recognized it in themselves. He had a remarkable ability to bring people from all walks of life together, unite them behind a common purpose, and inspire them to accomplish things they never thought possible.

Ed believed in developing others, creating opportunities, and expecting greatness. He led with love, discipline, accountability, tenacity, and integrity, always holding himself to the same standards he expected of those around him. His influence extended far beyond the workplace, touching countless lives through the encouragement he offered, the lessons he taught, and the example he set.

Above all else, Ed loved his family. They were his greatest priority and the center of his world. Even throughout his illness and in his final days, his concern for others remained greater than his concern for himself. Putting others first was simply who Ed was.

Outside of work, Ed enjoyed riding his Ducati motorcycles, was an avid gun enthusiast, and remained a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved entertaining friends and family by the pool and always made sure to cook and grill any chance he could.

Ed's legacy cannot be measured solely by the projects he completed, the companies he helped build, or the positions he held. It will be measured by the people he changed, the lives he influenced, and the countless individuals who will carry his lessons and example forward. He was a change agent for good in this world, and the impact of his life will continue long after his passing.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Rebecca "Beckie" Lynn Dunn Brown, with whom he built a life for more than 34 years; his children, Jarred Brown and Devon (Michael Lohr) Brown; his grandchildren, Avery and Jax Brown, Michael Lohr, Jr., and Stevie Lohr; his siblings, Robyn (Mike) Bunnell, Joyce (Wayne) Lefkowitcz, and Hope (Bill) Adkins; his mother-in-law, Linda Schupert Dunn, and his sister-in-law, Sheilah (Frank) Angeloni.

A memorial gathering will be held at New Funeral Homes, 202 North Main Street, Owenton, KY 40359 on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from noon to 3 pm.  A memorial service will follow at 3 pm.

Ed leaves behind a legacy of leadership, generosity, strength, and love. Though his absence will be deeply felt, the lives he touched will forever reflect the difference he made.
