Ed Arnold

William Edward "Ed" Arnold, age 60, of Owenton, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born March 5, 1960, in Owenton, he was the son of the late William "Bill" and Patsy Scott Arnold. He retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a network engineer, working in the Transportation Cabinet and later the Commonwealth Office of Technology. Known affectionately as "Sack" to his friends, he spent many hours on his houseboat in Lake Cumberland enjoying boating and skiing. He also enjoyed cruising around in his 1970 Buick convertible.  Ed always had a smile and joke for everyone and loved the company of his dogs.

Ed will be missed by his brothers, John Arnold of Georgetown and Bruce Arnold of South Padre Island, TX; his nephew Seth Scott Arnold as well as a host of extended family and dear friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Ed will be cremated and a memorial service will be held in the spring. To honor his memory, contributions are suggested to Owen County Friends of Animals or the American Cancer Society.
