Dorothy Ruth Tipton

Dorothy Ruth Tipton, 92, passed away January 24, 2018 in Richmond, KY. She was born in Brisbane Queensland Australia on May 9, 1925 the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph Elliott-Graham and Olive Beatrice Gibson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Nelson Tipton, a son Graham Holt and a daughter Patricia McCoy. Dorothy worked most of her life as a sales clerk and farmer and also baby sat, volunteered in nursing homes and Community Action. She was always active in church and had been a member of Revival Tabernacle. She is survived by her son, Gerald (Susan) Holt, her daughter, Pamela Sparks, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Two sisters, Betty and Rosalind also survive.Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 30 at 2:30 PM at McDonald & New - Main St. Visitation begins Tuesday at 1 PM. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Owenton Manor Activities Fund.
