Dorothy Jean Perkins

Mrs. Dorothy Jean Wainscott Perkins, age 78, of Owenton passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Baptist Health of Lexington. Born October 12, 1936 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the lateRaymond and Ruby Prather Wainscott and was preceded in death by her children, Michael Perkins and Carol Ann Stewart. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Evan Perkins; her sons, Donnie Perkins, Billy Perkins and Steven Perkins; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, December 8th from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday with Mart Noe presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
