Dorothy Rose Juett

Dorothy Rose Juett, 83, of Owenton, died September 25, 2010 at the New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton, KY. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Orville and Francis Rose of Owenton, KY and was born on January 5, 1927. She graduated from Owenton High School in the spring of 1945, spent one year at Georgetown College, and married her high school sweetheart, R.W. “Dub” Juett on June 7, 1946. Dorothy and Dub had two sons, Mark and Kim, before moving to Long Ridge and establishing Mark Kimberly Farms in 1960. Dorothy was a retired employee of Owen Electric, a former member of the Owen County Homemakers, and a proud member of the Owenton First Baptist Church. Dorothy was an only child and was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include her two sons; Mark (Marcha) of Smithville, MO; Kim of Owenton, KY; five grandchildren, Miranda (Chris) Warren, Kalem (Mona) Juett, Meredith (Brandon) Gutshall, Morgan (Jamie) Bond, and Joshua Juett; and five great grandchildren, Burke, Campbell, Cameron, Deacon and Grisham. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, September 29th, from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11am. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery with Bro. Jesse Bourne and Bro. Brad Banks presiding. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Owenton First Baptist Church.
