Dorothy Jones

Dorothy House Jones, 80, of Owenton, passed away, Sunday, May 12, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

Born March 21, 1939, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late George and Lucille Derringer House and preceded in death by her brothers, Charles and David House. Dorothy was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, raising flowers and attending yard sales. She was a member of the Hesler Assembly of God and enjoyed entering projects in the county fair exhibits.

She is survived by her husband, whom she married on October 11, 1957, Arthur Jones; her daughters, Diane (Danny) Page and Cindy Giles; grandson, Brandon (Jamie) Webster; and three great grandsons, A.J., Jace and D.J. Webster.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday with Bro. David Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Dorothy's family.
