Dorothy "Dot" Ellen Mullannix

Dorothy Ellen “Dot” Mullannix, age 80, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at her residence. Born August 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Roxie Porter Ruth. Preceding her in death were her husband Carl and her siblings, Eunice Ruth, Mary Tingle, Goble and Herbert Ruth. Dot was a homemaker, a quilter and a member of the Long Ridge Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Danny T. (Diane) Mullannix of Nicholasville; her sister, Mable Hall of Owenton; two grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Mullannix and Christina Mullannix and three great grandchildren, Ava, Delaney and Harper Mullannix. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, January 7th from 11am – 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Long Ridge Baptist Church.
