Dorothy Brumley

Dorothy Brumley, age 75, of the Lusby's Mill community, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.

Born April 14, 1947, in Manchester, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Pearl Hubbard Bowling. Dorothy was a retired Certified Nurses Aide and enjoyed growing flowers and telling stories.  Most of all, she loved being 'Mamaw' to all of her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her husband of 58 years, Daniel Brumley; her children, Peggy (Kevin) McIntosh, Bonnie (Ben) Finfrock, Patricia Lancaster, David (Tammy) Brumley, Richard (Barb) Brumley, and Josephine (Hubert) Henson; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her sisters, Opal Root, Jewel Riley, and Ruby Burns; as well as many nieces and nephews.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Canby Tabernacle church on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 10 am until 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with her grandson, Daniel Tracy presiding.  Dorothy will be laid to rest at her home in Lusby's Mill. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Funeral Homes for expenses.
