Dorothy Jean Bond

Dorothy Jean Bond, age 73, passed away Monday morning at her residence near Sparta Ky. She was born in Jonesville, Virginia the daughter of the late William and Ella Young Rutherford. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Bond, also of Sparta, whom she married on September 17, 1955. Also surviving are three sons, Gary Bond of Madison, Ronnie Bond and Tim Bond both of Sparta, two daughters, Theresa Strickland of Sparta and Debbie Wood of Carrollton, three brothers, Dauser, Dee David and Richard Rutherford, one sister, Carolyn Shoemaker, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18th, from 4 to 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 19th, at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at the Bond Farm. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
