Doris Dey Lusby Bourne

Mrs. Doris Dey Lusby Bourne, age 95 of Owenton passed away September 23, 2012 at the Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. Born May 10, 1917, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late William David Lusby, Sr. and Hallie B. Wilhoite Lusby. Mrs. Bourne was a devout member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church and the Co-Owner and Bookkeeper for Ray's TV & Appliance from 1975 - 1987. She co-owned the store with her husband, Raymond "Ray" Joseph Bourne who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Acton, Herschel and William Lusby, Retta Hollins, Marie Morrow and Hazel Bradley. Surviving are her sons, Daniel Joseph Bourne of Lexington and Herschel R. Bourne of LaGrange; her daughters, Gay Snider, of Finchville, Gerry Ennis of Bagdad, and Marcia Kern of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, September 25th from 11am until the time of the service at 2pm. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery with Bro. Jesse Bourne presiding. Family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Cedar Hill Baptist Church.
