Dora June Kerns

Dora June Kerns, age 79, of Jonesville, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at her home surrounded by family.

Born June 29, 1941, in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Leona and Blanche Race Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe Campbell.  Dora was a homemaker and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint and fishing.  She loved celebrating Halloween, dressing up, and passing out trick-or-treat candy. She also like collecting pewter gargoyles and dragons.

Surviving is her husband, who she married on January 14, 1961, William F. "Frank" Kerns and her sons, Dean Scott Kerns and Terry Owen Kerns.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Monday, October 19, 2020 from 11 am till Noon.  This will be a pass thru visitation with masks and social distancing required. A funeral service will follow at Noon with Bro. Gene Hill presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church.
