Dora B. Green

Dora B. Green, age 81, of Owenton, passed away on Monday, March 26th at the New Horizons Medical Center. Born April 11, 1930, in Owenton, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Ora Perkins Shelton. She was the widow of Kirby Taylor Green. Also preceding her in death were her siblings, Eula Wise, Arvel, Leslie and Carlos Shelton. Dora was a homemaker and a member of the Beechwood Assembly of God. She also babysat for many years. Surviving are her five sons, Melvin (Vicki) Green, Jerry (Vanita) Green, Larry (Patty) Green, Bill Green and Richard (Kelly) Green; her four daughters, Susie (Frank) House, Barbara (the late Steve) Sharp, Anita (Milford) Sipple and Rhonda (Brian) Young, all of Owenton; her brother, Harold Shelton; her sisters, Florence Greene and Donna Bohem. Twenty-three grand children and twenty-three great-grand children also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, March 29th, from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 am with Brother, Stephen Lewis presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery Memorial Contributions may be made to Builders International Missions / Richard & Kelly Green Mission.
