Donnee Lynn Hedrick

Donnee Lynn Hedrick, age 81, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

Born October 7, 1941, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dr. John C. and Christine Jones Hedrick. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Neal Hedrick, and his daughter Sally Anne Hedrick. Donnee was retired from the United States Department of Defense as an engineer. He was a member of the Richland Baptist Church. He enjoyed reading western and mystery novels, going fishing, and was a car enthusiast.

He will be missed by his children, Grace (Dalton Scroggins) Hedrick, Stephen (Dixie) Hedrick, and Kristi Pruitt; his grandchildren, Sarah Hedrick, Ryan (Amy) Watson, and Kaitlin (Jamey) Purvis; and his beloved dog, Willy.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 11 am until the service at Noon.  Funeral services will follow at Noon with burial in the Richland Baptist Church Cemetery.
