Donald Ray Young

Donald Ray “Johnny” Young, 60 of Sparta, passed away Sunday July 6th at his home following an extended illness. Born September 10, 1947 in Frankfort, he was the widow of the late Mary Clark. Mr. Young is survived by his parents, George and Dorothy Poteet Young of Sparta; his daughter, Dona Glore of Sparta; two sons, John Ed Young of Sparta and Ben Young of Dry Ridge; his brother Ed Young of Princeton and eight grandchildren, Amber, Alex, Taylor, Shelby, Stacie, Sabrina, Dristen and Vernon, Jr. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Tuesday, July 8, from 5 -8pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2pm with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
