Donald B. Winters

Donald B. Winters, age 83, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday morning, February 19, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. Born May 29, 1930, in Owen County he was the son of Pauline Beverly Smith and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Missy Smith O'Nan. He retired after driving a truck for 34 years and then became passionate about refinishing antique furniture. Anyone who knew him knew his favorite thing to do was play cards with his family. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Justine Winters; four daughters, Debra (Ray) Smith, Mary Bond, Sharon (Ricky) Bourne and Donna (John) Day; two sons, Donald Allen Winters and Steve B. Winters. Nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four sisters and one brother also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Private family services were held.
