Donald Williams Walker

Donald Williams Walker, age 74, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born July 17, 1944, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Raymond and Ruby Williams Walker.  He was preceded in death by his children, Donald Walker and Teresa Sharon; his siblings, Sarah Green, Charlsey Fishback, Nora Jane Robbins, Vernon Walker, Dale Walker, Betty Lou Walker and Billy Walker as well as his half-brothers, Jewel Dunavent and Louis Robinson.  He retired from Kraft Foods and al worked as a farmer and mechanic.  He loved fishing and cutting up with his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his wife, Nancy Harvey Walker; his daughter, Janice (Doug) Bruener; seven grandchildren, Justin (Abby) Stewart, Clay (Lauren Lizer) Stewart, Michael and David Bruener, Mary Rose (David) Tackett, Sam (Heaven Meadows) Sharon and Allison Sharon; four great grandchildren, Jeremiah; his brother, Larry (Sandra) Walker and sisters, Carolyn Bennett and Janice Keith.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10am until 1pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. Dale Adkins presiding.  Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church
