Donald Gipson

Donald Gipson, age 82, of Vevay, IN and formerly of Owen County, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in Vevay, IN.

Born January 6, 1942, in Carter County, Kentucky, he was one of seven children born to George and Garnett Lawhun Gipson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Kelly Gipson; children, Randy Gipson and Michelle Gipson, and his siblings, Ray Gipson, Joeann Rasnake, and Gary Gipson. Donald was a retired mechanical engineer for the City of Frankfort. He was also a truck driver and long-time farmer. A devoted member of the Baptist faith, he preached at many churches around the area for more than 20 years. In his past time, he loved fishing and watching westerns and loved animals.

He will be missed by his children, Allen (Jodi) Gipson, Deena Gipson, Kimberly Hall, and Wendy Morales; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as his siblings, David (Debbie) Gipson, Julie Riddle, and Carolyn Stavely.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, September 13, 2024, in the Monterey Cemetery with Bro. Jeremy Warren presiding.
