Donald Ray Cornman

September 11, 1938 — November 10, 2008

Donald Ray Cornman, age 70 and a resident of Owenton, passed away Monday, Nov. 10th in Lexington, KY. Born September 1938, he was the son of the late Clarence Cornman and Anna Mary Poland Cobb. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Ty Cobb; one daughter Debbie Cornman, two sisters: Delores Parrish and Norma Riels and two brothers: Cyrus Cobb and Ronald Cornman. Don was an avid golfer and retired employee of Owen Electric. He was also a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Beulah Wilhoite Cornman, whom he married on Sept. 8, 1961. He is also survived by a son, Dudley Cornman (and wife Angie) of Richmond, Ky.; two daughters: Donita Miller (and husband Doug) of Squiresville, Jolie Lehmkuhl (and husband Chris) of Richwood, one sister: Carol Wash of Lusby’s Mill and four grandchildren: Nicole and Kyle Shelton, Jill Cornman and Miles Lehmkuhl. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 12th from 5 until 8pm, at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will begin at 2pm. on Thursday with Rev. David Wotier and Bro. Jason Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Monterey Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Miller, David Rodgers, Kevin Parrish, Kyle Shelton, Chris Lehmkuhl and Denny Raisor. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tommy McDonald, Phillip Trinkle, Shorty Wainscott, J. J. Jackson, John Ducker, and Harold Parrish. Memorial contributions may be made to the El Bethel Christian Church.
