Don Randell Howard

Don Randell Howard, age 73, of Owenton, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 at his residence.

Born January 11, 1946, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Clarence and Virgie Johnson Howard. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Gayle, Laurel and Harold Howard and Marlene Manns. Don was retired from Jim Beam Distillery as a reducer after working for many years there, Taylor, Old Crow and Granddad Distilleries. He was a master craftsman in woodworking creating many scroll work items. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a lifetime member of the NRA. He was also a member of the Squiresville Baptist Church

Don is survived by his wife, Vonda Robinson Howard; his brother, Kenneth Howard and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, November 7, 2019 from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday with Bro Craig Howard presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the Squiresville Baptist Church.
