Dennis Glenn Jacobs

Dennis Glenn Jacobs, 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 13, 2023. He was born in Owen County the son of the late Blaine and Betty Lou Johnson Jacobs. He was also preceded by a brother Jamie Jacobs. He had worked at Turfway Park driving a tractor doing track maintenance. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Carrollton. He loved his church, his cats, and doing yard work mainly raising flowers. He was a kind and giving person and loved his wife. Surviving are his wife, Joy Johnson Jacobs, his two children, Bob and Blaine Jacobs, a step-son, James Tinsley, seven grandchildren including Lannie Jacobs, and his siblings, Joe (Becky) Jacobs, Eddie (Amy) Jacobs, Orville Gibson, William Gibson, Oscar Jacobs, Rita Frazier, Nancy (Charlie) Marksberry and Maurie Prather. The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 2:30 PM at the Main St. location of New Funeral Homes. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to the Open Door Baptist Church.
